Where there's a will there's a way!

When the real estate market is falling with no end in sight it is a historically good time to become a buyer.  Great value investors, like Warren Buffett, buy assets when everyone else is fearful.  This is our cue…everyone else is fearful.  I say our cue because my business partner and I have become buyers of existing and new homes.  There is no better way to put our money where our mouth is.  If we were counseling potential home buyers to make their purchase without doing so ourselves, it would be empty advice.  Yes, this building company is switching its business model in this economy to become a buyer.  We recently purchased a home in Willow Oaks subdivision and will be purchasing another home in downtown Fredericksburg very soon.

Ingenuity, creativity, and a willingness to work hard from individuals will turn this economy around.  The government will not and cannot.

This truth reminds me of a family’s story.  In 1970, with no money available, this man decided to be the first in his family to attend college.  He took a full time job at Hardee’s and a part time job as a dorm security guard.  When it came time to register for classes he registered for over 20 credits but was told he could not take that many.  If he could only afford tuition for a few semesters he reasoned that he must complete his degree at an accelerated pace.  Gathering his strength from people who said it could not be done, he worked himself through college and graduated from The University of South Carolina in 1974.  He was the first in his family to attend, let alone graduate, from College.  This man is my father.

We are in an economy where many are saying a building company cannot make it.  Nonsense.  We have family history on our side.  We are willing to do whatever it takes to continue providing our clients with affordable and energy efficient new homes. 

This mindset, adopted by individuals across the country, will be the factor that leads us out of this economic crisis.  On a local level this mindset will set our clients up for personal and regional economic success.   If you purchase a new home today it will stand the test of time and will still be a very new home if it comes time for you to sell in the next seller’s market.  Purchasing a new home will help this region grow because construction puts many excellent people to work.  Now is the time to make your new home purchase.  You will thank yourself and your personal finances will thank you too.
